AFC Oldsmiths is seeking a new Head Coach to organise and run our weekly training sessions and lead our First Team on a matchday.
We have two men’s sides operating in the Southern Amateur League – a high standard of amateur football on a Saturday.
Our club partners with Goldsmiths College (University of London), with many undergraduates and graduates making up the sides – although we are open to all players. We are an ethical football club, with an inclusive atmosphere and links to men’s mental health charity CALM.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and lead weekly training sessions in Peckham from 8 pm to 9.30 pm
- Select the First XI based on performance, commitment and talent
- Lead the First XI on matchday including warm-up, tactical advice and in-game management
- Support Reserve team players to develop in training and encourage fluidity between the two squads
Desired Requirements
- Takes an interest in nurturing the pipeline of players into the club via the University
- Takes an interest in developing the matchday experience, including improving the Clubhouse and off-pitch atmosphere
- Takes an interest in the ethical responsibilities of the club, including mental health, inclusivity and community work
Pay Rate
£15 per hour
Working Hours
- Monday 8pm – 9.30pm
- Saturday 1.30pm – 4.00pm
